  1. additional note, door doesn't lock manually either
  2. on the inside, on the centre dash, it comes up as "front left door open", even though its closed, not sure if that helps, it never before we changed doors
  3. yeah, we tried adjusting the strike plate, but it doesn't adjust, using the screwdriver method to test the latch itself, and the latch seems to not work at all for a while, then it does for a while, could there be something wrong with how we put the outside handle back in? as in, when we got the outside handle out, you had to put a screwdriver in and push back the white lever to release the handle? now wondering if we had to re-tension the spring tab or something?
  4. absolutely at the end of my f*&^%$g tether with this thing now, its about 2 days away from being torched finally got the all the stuff of the old door, got door off, got the replacement one on, got all the stuff back into it, now the door latch is f'ing about, sometimes it'll shut, sometimes it won't, when it does shut, it won't lock or alarm now, f'ing great, only changing the door because of a couple of dents on the top of it, other than that it was fine, shut and locked with no problems, sick to death of it now
  5. cheers bud, much appreciated
  6. thanks for that, I'm guessing theres a diagram that accompanies this guide bud? theres no riveting or drilling out of rivets are there?
  7. hi all, I'm changing the door, will all the window mechanism come out with the quarter light window all in one? http://i.imgur.com/iTBmCme.jpg

  11. borrowed a set of drain plugs from the citron indy place, and used their 8mm one that fitted, but my 8mm didn't,  :D yep, had the copper washer in there, :D all done now, just giving her a good polish up, replacing the tailgate, then should be up for sale
  12. all done now, bit of a ball ache undoing the nut, but peace of mind now and to the next owner
  13. this the stuff, yes? https://www.amazon.co.uk/TRANSMISSION-FLUID-MTF-U-MTF780-CARPLAN-x/dp/B0118KSXJK/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1498927463&sr=8-2-fkmr1&keywords=Transmission+SAE+75W80 pretty sure i got 2 litres of it somewhere, but i may just get another one litre just to top it up for now
  14. yes, probably finding a copper seal would sum up just how frustrating this car is, tried the hammer technique as well,  gonna try jacking the car up even higher just to see if i can get more leverage on it, otherwise, like you say, just have to put in about a litre and leave it to a garage and they can have the aggro, :D :D
  15. well, i can see why theres no "youtube" video showing how to do the semi-auto fluid change, man, that things done up tight, not sure how I'm going to get that biatch off still not sure i can see where the fill up one is
  16. don't even ask why it leaked out, lol

  19. also, what size is the drain plug? my 8mm square one is too big
  20. sorry guys, thought it was in my profile, lol 2004 C3 Pluriel, 1.6 semi-auto
  21. hi all, is the drain plug on the lower side of the gearbox? just underneath the driveshaft? and the fill up hole, on the side of the box, or under the air filter housing? ta
  22. was thinking, seem to see a lot of people with problematic sensodrive C3's, so was wondering, how many people have trouble free motoring out of these things? if you do, how many miles have you done? was looking at other cars for sale with these boxes on them, and some have done over 100K miles, so they can be all bad?
  23. hi again, yes, there is no "snowflake" symbol coming up, so maybe it is something else. think i will go down the route of renewing the gearbox oil, anyone know what exact type to get and how much it takes?
  24. cheers for that chaps, on the runs I've done so far, the box has changed down very well in "full auto" mode, but it shouldn't "beep" at all should it? one last thing for now, how is the gear lever removed in this car? and does the flashing "auto" word on the dash indicate a fault? and should it be picked up with an OBD reader? (and for quickness, where is the OBD port? lol), is "fully auto mode" only engaged by pushing that "auto" button by the gearstick?
