Hi and thanks for the reply. The gauge stopped working last year and it occasionally showed the right temperature. Other times it would go right up for a few seconds. It hasn't moved for a few months though. Having recently replaced the reverse light switch, I felt encouraged to have a go at replacing the temperature sender as it may be the cheapest option to try. What would you do (suggest)?

I have exact same problem with exact same car. Haven't tried the alen key though.

Hi, I've had temperature gauge problems for almost a year on my 2003 C8 2.2 HDI. Thought I have a go at fixing it myself. Can anyone tell me where is the sender located on the engine? Or any other help/advice? Thanks.
