  1. Hi Paul - and thanks for the quick response. It's a 2011 reg, HDi 160 1977cc engine. Like I say, the dealership say that they have checked and replaced the sensor once already. I guess it could be a problem with the wiring somewhere. I think I'll leave it to the dealership to look into that again...
  2. Hi there - a newbie to the forum, wondering if the problem I'm having is a well-known issue or something really esoteric... When I switch on the ignition on my C5 VTR+ HDi I get a message stating "Oil level measurement invalid". The message disappears after a few seconds and everything is OK. I've repeatedly checked the oil levels in the engine - no evident problems there - but the message still persists. I've taken the car to my local dealership to have this fixed on 3 separate occasions now. They have tried everything from replacing the sensor to upgrading the engine software. This latter approach seems to resolve the issue for about 4 weeks, and then the problem suddenly resurfaces. I'm not a high-mileage driver (...rarely do more than 1k miles a month) and when the car is at home it's parked on the flat, so I'm at a total loss to know what is going on here. It would seem that my dealership is similarly confused..! Has anyone else had the same problem - and if so have you managed to get it fixed? Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated.
