  1. Hello Paul, thanks for your welcome and reply. The car has done 95,000 miles and the little spanner indicator on the dash is up showing I'm due for a routine service shortly. Will ask the mechanic to look at the fuel filter, thanks for the idea. I don't always fill up at the same service station, so I don't think it could be that. I'll try using the pedal as you suggest next time it happens. It seems to happen at around 30-40mph so the pedal may be in a similar place. From memory trying to accelerate does not fix it, but I'll test. Thanks again, Glenn
  2. Hi there. This is my first post and I'm very glad this forum exists. Thanks to all who make it happen. I bought my first Citroen about a year ago, a 59 plate C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 Hdi VTR+. I have been very happy with it - comfortable, reliable, and versitile. A month or two ago I began to notice a problem with the revving. I would be travelling along at a constant speed (usually happens at lower speeds sub 50mph) and then the car would stutter and hesitate. If I deployed the clutch and coasted along the engine would return to idle revs but would fluctuate up and down without me touching the accelerator pedal. It happens about once a week and after I arrive at my destination the next journey is usually problem free. I've not had it happen on the motorway, just when driving around town. I've not yet taken to a garage as it doesn't happen constantly and it would be guaranteed not to do it when a mechanic took it for a test drive! :-) Any advice please? Cheers. Glenn
