  1. Cheers for the idea its worth a shot
  2. Thanks for the suggestion i will take a look and see, using the brakes when its happening makes no difference to the sound once it starts. Weirdly though it wont happen if im reversing while turning the wheels left, only when im going forward I recoreded the sound today while driving in circles in a car park not sure if it will help, this was going at 5/10 mph as soon as i straighten out it stops https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByS22se5MSwdTUZCX2ZjUzlwLXM/view?usp=sharing
  3. Thanks for the reply its not RPM related as the sound matches the turning of the wheels at low speeds and doesnt speed up if i just rev the engine, it does match the road speed when it happens though.. till i get above 30 MPH or so then it just stops happening. Its an automatic so i have no clutch to test. As it only happens when i turn the wheels hard left then stays for a while i presume that means something is being moved maybe?
  4. Howdy, First post on here. I have had an issue with my 08 c4 Automatic Petrol 1.6 for a few months now and no garage can figure it out so wondering if any of you can help Sometimes when driving i get a squeaking noise come from i believe one of my front wheels, it doesn't happen all the time and i can go days without it happening at all. Today i was able to find a way to "activate" it whenever i want by doing a full wheel lock to the left when driving at slow speeds, it wont happen if i do the same turning right. It will squeak in rhythm with the speed im driving, with it disappearing once i go faster then 30 miles an hour usually, and will only return when i turn left fully again. All the garages i have gone to find no dmg or anything wrong, but its kind of annoying to hear when it does happen Any ideas? Thanks in advance FYI i have had my tyres and brakes replaced recently and its made no difference
