Thank you for your reply, I'll have a word with Thule and see what they have to say first, but as you say it might just be easier to replace with a fixed one.

Hi, I own a 2008 C5 tourer, I bought it last year a I was looking at putting a Towbar on it and noticed that there is already a detachable attached to it! The only trouble is there isn't a detachable swan neck in the car and the previous owner doesn't know where it is either! So, my question is, can I get the swan neck attachment on its own or do I have to buy a whole new kit? I've had a quick look underneath and it has all the wiring kit there and it says it a Thule. Any help will be great.
