Hi There, I have a (second hand) 2012 C5 and need to replace a lost key. My local dealer has quoted £97 for a replacement key+remote fob, and ~£100 to program it. They say they need to obtain the code(s) for my vehicle from Citroen and that the programming process takes about an hour. My questions are; a) Are the codes part of the data belonging to the car which I should/am entitled to/ have? If so, where could I get them from? (I'm not aware that I have them) b) If I had the codes, could I get a new fob reliably programmed independently of Citroen? c) There seem to be various companies that can provide new keys and program them. Are any known to be OK? d) Is the re-programming process really as involved as the dealer suggests? Any other comments? I would guess that losing keys and needing to replace them is a fairly regular occurrence. Is there a favoured route other than going to a Citroen dealer? Cheers, Chris
