  1. Thanks for the reply have ordered blower motor, will check fuses, checked and correct fuse is in. If blower motor does not work I will sell it need heater up here in winter.thanx again
  2. Wires were warm, smoke came from under the dash, we tested the blower with an 18 volt battery and it whirled around good style. Put it back in car as thought it was working, got a new resistor and changed it over, the motor worked as I said but had to un plug again because of the smoke. fixed the old resistor and replaced that but same happened (smoke) should I get a new motor blower and resistor and try that or do you think it will smoke again. Don't know anything about wiring at all.
  3. Well checked blower motor which blowed very well so changed resistor put motor back in and worked for a minute then smoked appeared so we unplugged it again. Do you think I need a new blower motor as told or is something else wrong. Thanks guys.
  4. Thank you got glovebox out, got fan out, now need to get new fan and get it fitted. Will let you know how it works.
  5. Hi really new to this so bare with me. My husband has bought a Citroën c5 2.2 hdi diesel estate (2003) problem is the fan is not working, we were told by seller that she was checked out and she needs a blower motor. Now after reading this forum I think we know where to find it (behind glove box passenger side) do we disconnect battery before we start, do we switch off passenger airbag, where can we find instructions on how to do this correctly. we did telephone a parts department to get a second hand blower motor but they asked how many pins did it have as there are two types. Would really like to get this sorted as it is getting colder by the day (soon be winter). Many thanks
