Try a scrapyard - failing that a replacement second hand unit from ebay etc.... Dealers annoy me because they try to get you to go with the most expensive option - I was told that they had no idea what type of battery fitted my remote key fob (battery was missing and so I didnt know) and wanted to charge me £145 for a whole replacement fob. Luckily I have an aunt who has one so I asked her if she could have a look at hers - she did and said Citroen charged her £19 to replace the battery in hers - turns out I could get the right battery on ebay along with a spare for £2 delivered...Guess which option I chose? So if I were you I would either look to secondhand/used or look at a way you can make the clip yourself - I have no idea what it looks like so I cant make any suggestions as to what you could use.... Hi Andy, Thanks for that one it was a fuse that had gone on the underside of the bsi unit - your help pointed us in the right direction - many many thanks!

I had a similar problem but I also had a 'stop' sign flashing at me - turned out to be the power steering fluid level - I know that sounds like tosh but it hasnt done it since....

I have a Xsara 2.0l HDi, 2003 plate. My window washers have stopped working. I have read around this forum and followed the tip for replacing the washer motor as I have no audible click when I activate them - however this has not worked and in fact when power is connected to the old unit it does in fact work. So - can anyone help? There is no audible click, the pump still works, the rear washer does not work either, the fuse has been replaced - although not sure which one this is as the 'handbook' (or should that be 'hinderbook'?) doesnt give a location and does not refer to a fuse for the window washers at all. Also does anyone have a repair manual for this car or something online/download that they can point me to for some assistance? All help will be greatly appreciated, Xx
