  1. Thanks for the reply. The person I took it to was supposedly an auto electrician. He said that there had been a number of previous repairs and he couldn't complete any further repairs. I'd got a part from the local scrapyard, from the same model xsara as mine but apparently the bit that plugs into the door is different. I'm not sure if it was a case of it couldn't be done or that he just couldn't be bothered. There are quite a few broken wires though so maybe it isn't repairable at all. Gutted really as I love it. Where I live the nearest Citroen dealer is over an hour away unfortunately.
  2. I have a 2004 Xsara that I love. A while ago I had issues with the central locking and drivers window not opening. On inspection some wires in the door loom thingy had broken and were repaired. This has happened again but apparently my mechanic says it is beyond repair. I located a part at a local scrapyard but have been told it is not the correct part. Currently the wires are taped up and not connected at all. What I would like to know is:- 1) what is the part actually called so that I could try and locate the correct part? 2) what do these wires actually control as they are currently not connected? 3) Is there any way I can get the care to lock? I can currently lock the drivers door with the key and the 2 rear doors but as soon as I touch the passenger door lock it locks and reopens all the door. 4) is there any way it is repairable? sorry for so many questions but I really want to keep the care. any suggestions/help etc would be greatly appreciated
