The clutch was slipping - I thought it was highly unlikely to be wear and tear at just 11,000 miles - but even so it was a relief to hear it was under warranty...

Just got a call from my dealer - my C4 (Coupé VT) is being fitted with a new clutch. As usual they don't like to give me too much information (in case it breaks the official secrets act (French version), just that its covered under warranty. Car is 14 months old and has just shy of 11,000 miles on the clock. What is really annoying is that they will have my car off the road for 3 days and did not offer a courtesy car, when I asked they told me they had none. Car was only supposed to be in for 2 hours yesterday morning. Love Citroens, hate Citroen dealers :) And I'm still waiting to hear about the brakes!!!

Worst bit is catching the kerb under the front of the bloody C4 :blink:

I f****** hate seagulls! The worst was a 4 inch wide crap bang in the middle of the bonnet – I think the 'gull must have been for an indian or something. But it's not just the 'gulls – I was on the M6 yesterday and thought it was raining, but no, about 30 million files commited suicide on the front of my VT. The jetwash couldn't even shift the sticky l'il bastards! :) Ah well, I suppose that's what you get for buying a french car in the UK! Bloody zenophobes :blink:

Haha – I had my car for 4 weeks before a friend drove his 4x4 into the side of mine while parked :blink: It was the worst feeling in the world, hearing the crunch outside the house and just knowing my pride & joy had been dented... I could barely look. Had to have a whole new side and rear panel fitted, and it's just not the same anymore!!! (if you know what I mean)

Mines going in on monday for the airbag recall but I want them to sort the brakes out too – I don't hold out much hope for them sorting this one though. Also got a problem with the clutch where it loses power & over-revs occasionally when accelerating. Not looking forward to it because at the last service I thought the dealer was overpriced, unco-operative and also the car came back uncleaned – not a major gripe but the least they could do is spend 5 minutes giving the car a once over with a hose especially after charging me an extortionate amount of money for topping up the oil, changing the washer fluid and telling me that the car was okay! :blink:
