MarkyM Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Hi my first posting, I've a 2004 HDi Sensodrive car and have been very impressed so far. Owning 3 other cars (Nissan XTrail, Jaguar XK8 and Supercharged MX-5) I actually enjoy driving the C3 more. Not least because I've managed to get 82.5 MPG on a 400 mile round trip (tank brimmed and then refilled to brim) so I use it mainly for business miles and have covered 18k miles in it since getting it last Jan (05) Never known such a well equipped little car! Anyhow I've lost/misplaced the user handbook and whilst I can easily change the sidelights 5W5 with philips bluevision I can't see how to release the current H7's that are in place to replace with higher quality bulbs (Philips VisionPlus). I've got small hands and am short but just can't seem to see what's holding it in place so any help would be appreciated. Does it twist off or does it have a wire retaining thingy? Interestingly my C3 costs more to service than my XK8!! But since I can claim 12 pence a mile (and get the rest back from the tax man) and it actually costs me about 7ppm to run (so it's paid for all of it's servicing/road tax/breakdown cover in the first year of use) I'll continue to use it for those long journeys  Loof forward to some helpful suggestions  MarkM Quote
arrows Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I have had to replace both my headlamp bulbs, both went within a matter of a week! A little fiddly - there is a clip which goes round the outside of the bulb seating which has two lugs at the top. You have to push each of the lugs outwards and towards the rear of the car (one lug at a time) to release the clip whic then allows the bulb to be removed. It took me a while to work it out as the manual is not very clear. Hope this helps. Rob. Quote
