Dear all!

Having read many of the post regarding this car (I have a brand-new C3 1.4 diesel HDI Exclusive) does anyone know how to switch the speedo readout to KPH from MPH. I'm sure that there is a "trick", but the manual does not explain.
I should say that I am absolutely delighted with the car (80 miles old now!)

Dear all!

The only way for it to be done is at a dealer which is absolutely stupid.

Why was conventional dials not fitted? Instead Citroen tried to make C3, Michael Knights car. At least Kitt would talk to you when something has gone wrong with the car

Only 80 miles and no trouble?

Don't speak too soon my friend.

doomed, we're all doomed.
Forgive porkie and myself being miserable about our cars. We have had no end of troble with our C3s, Citroen themselves, the dealers, and lack of women. All directly caused by the C3.
But my engine trouble seems to be better. So there is hope.
And maybe Citroen have fixed the bugs/faults with the C3 so new ones might work!
hope u and everyone else has a happyer c3 experience than us

Deal all:,

I have answered my own question re the above and you do not have to take the car to a dealer. This is how to change the display from MPH/KPH:

1. Set the ignition to ON (not accessories)
2. Set the milometer display to read TOTAL distance (not TRIP because you will inadvertantly zero the display)
3. Depress and hold BOTH the resetting trip button AND the night-time panel illumination buttons at the same time and wait for the display to flash between MPH and KPH
4. Use the trip reset button to select the unit of measurement required (mph/kph and miles/kilometers)
5. The readout will now conform to the new unit of measurement.

Hi Mooseshaver.

re outside temperature display, just push either of the two controls on your centre dash display, (the one that shows the time) and the outside temperature will be displayed for a short time. Also it should show permanently id f the temperature is below 3degrees C. The manual does say that the outside temperature display may depend upon model and country.

My experience is that if the car has been idle, especially in direct sunlight, it will take a few Km's of driving for the temperature to read the appropriate temperature. This is quite normal for most vehicles.

Hope this helps a little. Good to read that your C3 engine is getting over its illness. Let's hope it has had all the inoculations needed for future happy motoring.
