flitwick Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 All you have to do is press the right button on the speedo pod while the ignition is switched off then turn the ignition key up one knotch till the battery light comes on there will be a count down on the dash wait til it goes to 0 turn off and then start the car it should go back to 20000 or 12500 depends on if its petrol or derv Quote
Maurocar Posted January 24, 2006 Author Posted January 24, 2006 Mine is petrol. Every time I take it to my Citroen dealer they always set it to 29900. My guage is set on km/h. Is it normal? When you reset the counter and you start the car again; you said it will show up 20000 or 12500. Can I set it to any number I want, lets say 10000 cause my service is after 10000Km? Quote
stimulator Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 The actual distance set on the KM or miles to go is a function of the ECU and all that your dealer does is reset the indicator. The read out is generated in the ECU (computer). If your running on KMs then 20000 miles equal 32000KM. Yours indiactor at 29900 isn't therefore that far as it equals 18000 miles. Waht does your service book say. car service disatnces in UK are PETROL 20000 milesDIESEL 12500 miles teh ECU knows whether the car is petrol or diesel and set the distance accordingly. try changing your dash display to MILES. using the right hand button on the central pod and see what it reads then.
