organist Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Finally took the plunge and got rid of my C3. I have to admit that I have recently got a bit fed up with the very variable performance of the car. It is a 1.4 Hdi (92), but I find the engine really peaky. I drove a Skoda Fabia Vrs the other day and fell in love with it. The build quality is STREETS ahead of Citroen, and the performance is fantastic and wipes the floor with the C3. It is cheaper too! So there we are. After 3 years of ownership, would I buy another C3. Regrettably I have to say no. The dealers are rubbish, the cars rattle constantly, the ride is piss-poor, and after driving a Skoda, there really is no comparison with the little French thing. Bye Bye! Quote
wozza Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 After driving a C3 recently i kinda have to agree. Its hard to believe they build the C3 and C2 etc. When you get in a C4 its so much different its not all cheap plastic and rattly bits. But the VRS would wipe the floor with the citroen its meant to be a diesel hot hatch the C3 1.4 was never meant to be that. Quote
Guest CE05LDB Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 On about Skoda. When I helped my mate to get a Saxo back in 2002 on Motability he said he didn't find it so good as his Skoda Felicia. I felt a awfull as I recomended him to have a Citroen. Well they can't be that bad I got him to have another Citroen a year ago Quote
wozza Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 There not bad but the build quality on the C3 is a little behind even citroen know this hence why the C4 and C6 are absolutely miles ahead in build quality. C4 in reviews has been said to be approaching german build quality. Which says a lot really. And the funny thing my rattles have now completely dissapeared since the guys took my door panels off at the audio centre and took my dash apart. The car is now brilliant to be in. No rattles at all. And its taken the citroen dealer 5 days to try get rid of them it took the guys at the audio centre 3 hours. Quote
