Guest xantiabargainbuyer Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Ive recently come across an old C15 dumped in a field for several years, i had good long study and decided it was absolutely s***ged (kaplunked) but it did get me thinking. Im after a summer project and figured a half decent c15 could be picked up fairly cheap. But the one problem is a severe lack of power. changing an engine and gearbox, suspension and running gear dont scare me, fabricating bits from 205, 306, xsara, saxo, you name it. the thing thats getting me is can the 1.8 be turbo'd using the bits from the 1.9 engine. Ive had several of these engine in various form, but they always seem very compact even in a xantia or 406. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience or knows of anyone who has taken on this job? also, would i be wasting time, and should just take the engine from any citroen 1.9 TD and find a way to make ECU from that vehicle work with c15 body. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. And yes i do suffer from frenchophilia. Quote
