scotjimland Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 I think this forum has died .. goodbye Quote
wozza Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 lol not dead just the 2cv expert doesnt seem to visit no more. Try pming truemouse or asking him on the picasso specific forum he would probably know best. he is the resident 2cv fanatic here. Quote
mouse Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 What he said. Basically my hotmail.com is dead, now I'm on hotmail.co.uk. Same name. Yeah, 2cv accessory do the towing A-frame, but the £POA got me wondering. If you live in the states, look to U-Haul for help. Not sure if the Tow Dolly is narrow enough for a 2cv, but it's certainly worth checking out. U-Haul's Auto Trailer is way too wide. Quote
mouse Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 One quick phone call later. Ecas do a tow-bar for the duck for around £70. Now it's not an A-frame as far as I could tell, but it's probably worth looking into. Edited, cause I realised they're talking about to tow with a 2cv, not for towing one. I guess Ecas equipped 2cv's don't break down enough to warrant one. Quote
C5-Nigel Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 it is now illegal to tow anything on an a frame unless its total MaM is below 550KG the 2cv is 750kgif you still want to do it you will need a specialist towing rig that operates the brakes on the vehicle being towed.basically if the vehicle being towed has brakes they must all be functioning.
