Hi, a friend of mine is looking to replace his standard tape player in his C3 with a CD player(non citroen).

Is this a DIY job? He's heard that you can just wire up a CD player as it requires an adaptor...? Is that right?

And of course he'll need to get like a surrounding fascia?

Oh and what kind of price would he be looking to pay for fitting if its not a DIY job?

Thanks in advance.

If you go to a local audio shop they will install it for £20 usually.

Otherwise its a case of an adaptor the shop will sell usually need 2 parts.

But otherwise he will need

and one form here depending on make of stereo he is fitting this will allow it to use the original screen and still use the steering wheel controls to change station etc.

But im not sure if it will need an adaptor to install it might already have a standard iso plug so be a straight swap.

Its not that hard to do it yourself but just keep in mind theres at least £50 worth of costs just on adaptors to take into account might be more if you go into a shop. Took £30 worth to get mine in my C4 and then messing about wiring things up.
