Guest Colin1hnd Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Hi all.Have a 2004 1.9D berlingo with a number of electrical problems. Namely that the headlights come on when the car is unlocked and after it has been turned off and locked they remain on for a while. There is no main beam, no flash, no horn, no blower. I noticed that the fuses that control all these things are side by side in the auxiliary fuse box in the engine bay. Took it to a sparky I know who checked the PCBs on both the auxiliary and main fuse box and said they were in perfect condition but that it seemed that the auxiliary fusebox wasn't getting a signal. Have tried replacing the auxiliary fusebox but problem remains, have tried resetting the BSI but hasn't made a difference. Is it likely that the problem is that the BSI has packed in? Additionally I'm sure when I drive it I can smell a hot electrical smell but the sparky didn't ever come across it despite me mentioning it when I dropped the van off.Any help greatly appreciated.
