pennyrabbit Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Hi, can anyone help me or should i say my father-in-law, he has a brand new citroen c5 and since day one he has had trouble with a fan in the engine coming on and staying on for very long periods even during the winter. he has taken the car in to the dealership umpteen times and it still has not been resolved.anyone any ideas please .thankspennyrabbit x Quote
hertsnminds Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 The easiest way to show a dealer your car has a problem is to test drive up to 3 other cars of the same model they have on the forecourt. If all of the cars do the same thing then I would believe them when they say there is nothing they can do. If none of the other cars have the same issue then you know they can fix it. If you can show that your car has a problem and they cannot fix it (in 3 tries) then you can reject the car. But you have to state that you are giving them 3 attempts to fix it within a set time frame e.g If this fault with my car is not rectified within 8 weeks then I will be rejecting it and will be requesting a full refund or brand new replacement vehicle of the same specification.
