Just got my '06 C3 which is really :D but I want to fit my cd multichanger in the storage tray under the radio.

Question is how do I get the tray out?? I don't want to damage my new car.... any advice??

When I had my C3 Exclusive 05 reg I wanted a CD Draw put in where the tray is so I went and bought one from my Citroen Dealer and the service manager fitted it forme so maybe yours will do the same. Is your dealer good?

I seem to remember pushing screwdrivers in behind the sides of the tray to release a couple of lugs.

The multi-changer itself was a bit of a fiddle to fit, but you need to get a Citroen dealer to 'enable' it to be switched in when you press SRC. While you're at it, you might want to think whether you are likely to want any other features enabling at the same time - e.g. if you might get an iPod, or if you want to fit a hands-free phone (not sure about that).

It wasn't too difficult, although they may have changed things since my 03 model.

I know the CD Player is different on the New C3s Tim. But I should imagin fitting a CD changer would still be the same as putting one in ours. Citroen are crafty now though to do alterations like date time etc on the new C3 its has be done on the CD Player not like mine and yours with the buttons by the display screen. So can't fit an aftermarket CD Player on the New C2/C3 anymore. Where as the C4 uses the same CD Player but the alterations can be done on the CD Player or on the steering wheel.

On the 54/05 reg C3s they upgraded the Display screen on the SX and Exclusive models they used the same as what the C5 had.

To remove the storage tray just insert your hands and apply pressure to the bottom and top and pull. The Haynes manual says to remove the radio and then push it out, but you need the two coat hangers to do that.

Now that you have had replies why don't you delete all the other posts you made on the same subject.
