mooseshaver Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Does anyone's stereo volume actualy increase/decrease with speed? Its supposed to but mine never does and I'm not sure it ever did. Quote
pork_pie Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 I found no difference in volume quality but something else about the stereo........ Play a CD after a while then revert to FA radio, the unit loses it preset. Radio is normaly tuned to Key 103 (Manchester) but after playing a CD, the unit goes to Radio 3. A minor problem but a pain in the backside. Quote
mooseshaver Posted February 25, 2003 Author Posted February 25, 2003 And I thought my dealer had tuned all mine in for me, I use radio 1 through 4 on buttons 1 to 4. Apparently the radio volume increase is not that much, says according to my dealer today. Quote
Guest Mark A Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 Think it does but in a non intrusive way ... Quote
mooseshaver Posted February 27, 2003 Author Posted February 27, 2003 non intrusive = invisable? Unnoticable? Pretend volume increase? Quote
svpilot Posted April 12, 2003 Posted April 12, 2003 Has anyone got to the bottom of the 'radio losing it's presets' mystery? Ours does it too, and its driving us nuts! Cheers! Quote
Guest Mark A Posted April 12, 2003 Posted April 12, 2003 Not had a problem with presets losing themselves, but the CD player in the original wouldn't play some CD's - in what turned out to be a temperature dependent way and not straighforward to replicate (Unit warmed up = something fouled rotation of the disk) The unit was swapped by the dealership without question. Well, they did have a little difficulty at first in persuading the new radio and vehicle to talk to each other ... It could do with an input for minidisc/mp3 player/whatever ... Quote
kelby Posted April 14, 2003 Posted April 14, 2003 Mmmm got my C3 on friday, and notice that the cd skipped after a while. could be the same fault. I guess it is worth mentioning. Also my radio did lose the presets, but I noticed it was on FM AST mode. this is the automatic tuning mode. changing it to FM1 allowed me to set my stations and they are still there :) press the wavy line (radio) button repeatedly until you see fm1 on the display. Badlass Posted April 14, 2003 Posted April 14, 2003 Thanks for that Kelby......was having probs keeping presets too.....helps if I read the actual manual :) Quote
ACHUKA Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 The auto volume change on the setup in our new Multispace seems to work a treat. Yes, it's unobtrusive, but you wouldn't want to notice it, would you? Certainly, I haven't had to keep adjusting the volume as I used to with the system on our old car. Quote
mooseshaver Posted April 19, 2003 Author Posted April 19, 2003 I still find I have to keep adjusting my volume, it often is too quiet as I increase speed and to loud as I come down again. Driven my boss's passat and I can tell when that increases and it does a good job or letting me hear things. Quote
