Sensodrive Snowflake

The car is a c2 1,4hdi sensodrive 2004.

Car dropped out of gear and wouldn't start so got towed back home.

 

After battery disconnect (30mins) and gearbox reset (as described in other posts) managed to get

started and now it drives fine in 1st and reverse, when the car changes to 2nd gear the engine does not rev up

and the gear drops back into 1st.

 

To get more info I jacked up car put it in manual and same thing is happening but I reved hard and quickly changed up to 3rd

and it was fine also 4th and 5th is fine also. This must give a clue to whats wrong.

 

Also had the computer connected and the fault codes it gave are

P0002 - Fuel volume regulator control circuit open

P0238 - Turbo charger boost sensor high

P0403 - EGR control circuit

P0750 - Shift solenoid A - I assume this is the gear actuator.

 

Just got a quote from local citroen garage the gearbox actuator is £611+vat ouch + fitting at £90/hour +vat.

 

So will a replacement gear actuator fix this?

Any help will be much appretiated.
