Hi I have a problem with my Xsara, I believe it is a fuel fault the car dies while being driven. When it first happened the engine light came on and the car went on to emergency power. It drove like this for a for a short while then died. If the fuel pressure sensor is disconnected it will start tick over for ages and drive for a few miles, stop restart after a couple of minutes drive a few miles and cut out again. The lift pump was not pumping constantly so we replaced this, and the fuel pressure sensor but still have the same problem. we have blown out all the fuel lines and changed the filter. If we reconnect the fuel pressure sensor the car will not tick over. It has been into a local citroen specialist but they failed to find the fault. can any one give us some idea what this could be?

Thanks in advance

Anne
