syrup Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 I'm going to regret asking this, but is the small temperature symbol next to the actual temperature gaugejust telling you this is the gauge or something else. Quote
wozza Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Im just gonna come out and say eh!? Dont get exactly what your wanting to know. Quote
hertsnminds Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Yes once the engine is running after all the startup checks have completed that symbol is telling you the indicator shows engine temperature. During the pre/ignition checking you should see OIL OK and the number of miles until the next service is due (at the top of the indicator). During this time the bars are showing oil level (I think). wozza Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Never trust oil guages in cars. Rather check them myself seen too many reading as having full oil and there not being a drop in the car. Quote
syrup Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 hertsmind, I thought that what it was but I thought it was pretty obvious. wozza, it's the smaller symbol next to the main one, I thought it was obvious that the big one was the temperature gauge, in the handbook the smaller symbol is shown for water level p106/107 and I thought that this may be some sort of gauge. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39/bobtim/guage.jpg Quote
