hertsnminds Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 waranty runs out next feb That's all part of Citroen's cunning plan, so you have to buy a new car when the warranty runs out :) There was no way I was going to run my Pluriel with no warranty. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
graysclassics Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Odd problem again the engine light coming on for no apartent reason .Car bleeps drive around then hey presto goes out ,maybe more electrical gremlings again  I hope i stop geting these problems the waranty runs out next feb :o Wouldnt want to be taking it into the garage for little probs at £50 an hour :(Don't worry about it. It's probably a code relating to the "fly by wire throttle motor" P1161 it's a crap ecu system. Even if you changed the bits according to Citroen, it would only sort if temporarily for a month or three. You change the pins on the throttle pedal end first, then if it does not work, you change that part of the wiring loom & if that does not work, the throttle motor itself to cure the MIL light. It's a common fault on the C3. Like most modern cars, a load of Shite, when an electronic fault occurs. It should be possible to reset the MIL via a diagnostic test, but it wont last for long. Quote
citroeneddie Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 If the fault occurs during the warranty period, and reoccurs after the end of the warranty, IMHO it should still be covered by the warranty, as the fault occured before expiry, and should be classed as ongoing. That's what I would argue. Good luck Eddie Quote
