Nurisha Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Hi would just like to say I have always loved my C1, however I bought the car two years ago (two years old)because I wanted a newish car to keep repair costs down. Low and behold my clutch went in January (34'000 miles), I could not afford Citroen prices so had a local garage replace it (£300.00) then at MOT my brakes were deemed to be bad for such a young car and had a recommendation to have them replaced pretty soon, again I could not afford Citroen prices. Now my lock has gone on the drivers side. I know of several people with C1's who have had exactly the same problems. I decided to contact Citroen and because I already had the brake and clutch repairs done they were not prepared to help me and suggested that I take the car to a Citoen dealer to have them look at the lock, if it is deemed to be a factory fault they will look in to it! the local dealer wants £30.00 just to check the lock! I just wanted to warn people not to have the work done before complaining but it may be worth complaining anyway to highlight similar faults. It really has put me off having another C1 and would find it hard to recommend one to anyone I know which is a pity. Quote
