Hi guys,

I've got to fit new discs to my mother's Berlingo 52reg and since I've just change the hub assembly on my own car I didn't think it would be that difficult- I was wrong (a bit). The brake caliper just will not come off. I have used a TX55 socket and used a separate jack to apply the turning force and I could not believe it when the torx 55 socket I bought from Halfords snapped off! I had successfully twisted the socket head to breaking point rather than turn the bolt. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the bolt out other than heating it?

I had thought of bleeding the break line dry then disconnect the brake fluid tube and take the whole hub assembly off then use a vice and more leverage. This is a lot of work and not guaranteed to work.

Thanks.
