barns Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Hi new to this forum and have been searching the net for a c4 forum for a while.Seriously considering buying a new C4 but require 5 door model we test drove was a 1.6 sx petrol.Cant make our minds up between the colours chart oriental blue and the wicked red. Before we went to the showroom i would not have had a red but it looked excellent in the showroom.Colour we had in mind was blue but not too dark.Problem was none could be viewed on the for court and have not seen any on the road, any advice out there? wozza Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Cant show you a 5 door in red but can show you mine. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/Car%20pictures...s/C4%20side.JPG http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/Car%20pictures.../C4%20front.JPG http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/rear.JPG I think they look great in wicked red. If not Red i would have had either Black or Irdis i think. Will get some new pictures done soon though just given it a nice wash and wax not quite finished but its looking lovely so shiny now. Quote
barns Posted April 17, 2006 Author Posted April 17, 2006 nice motor like most motors three door looks the best but cant have wi kids but that red is something else cheers................................. Quote
wozza Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/citroen/i...ST&f=103&t=1443 joeblunts 5 door in wicked red in that thread as well. When its clean and polished up the red is sparkling looks brilliant. And yeah i dont have to worry about the kids bit only 22 lol. Quote
Foxtrot Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 My 1.6HDi LX is Icelandic Grey which actually is a very nice silvery/blue - when you get the winter sludge washed away it look great - I did like the Sable Gold in the showroom but no regrets about this colour Quote
lee_marshuk Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Love my sable gold, there's not too many colours I don't like in it really! http://www.mellowms.f2s.com/100_0378small.JPG Quote
barns Posted April 18, 2006 Author Posted April 18, 2006 yep agree it does suit most of the colours but i prefer to see it on the car rather than on a colour chart.problem most at the showroom were wicked red and black, which i liked but black is a pain to keep clean........... does anybody have a picture of a c4 in oriental blue! Quote
Mat Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 I've got a pic of my Oriental Blue Coupe, but no-where to host it. Any help please? Quote
syrup Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 I use this (it's free) http://photobucket.com/ Quote
Mat Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Thanks to Syrup. Here's a quick photo of my C4: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g222/matcapel/MyC4.jpg Quote
barns Posted April 18, 2006 Author Posted April 18, 2006 thanks for all the replys and pics placing order beginning of may so a few weeks to pick our favourite and trim level. cheers.......................... Quote
wozza Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 My suggestiong wicked red and exclusive or VTR+ spec in my opinion. Worth it for the nicer 17" alloys and climate control etc. Plus nice front splitter that sets the front off in my opinion. Personally i say sod the kids the seats go forward far enough to get people in had my mum and dad in the back of mine before and its very roomy. And get the Coupe  And Lee does the 5 door exclusive not get the side bump strips colour coded? Would look so much nicer with them done surprised there not done thoguth the exclusive was pretty much the same spec wise as the VTS except the seats. Quote
lee_marshuk Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 No I know....does look a bit odd doesn't it really? But to be fair with my girlfriend about rubber on the doors is always appreciated  Not sure about the seats since I had the leather pack............ Quote
wozza Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 lol, well i iknow its less than £100 to have them colour coded want to get mine done dunno if im doing anything else to my C4 now though. Think im just gonna save up for another car track day car. And think you get the comfort seats and VTR VTR+ etc gets the sports seats. Kinda fits in with the way the cars are marketted though the VTR being the sportier trim and the exclusive being more comfortable and a cruiser i suppose. Quote
barns Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 has anybody got any idea which colour blue the c4 is on the cover of the booklets provided from the showrooms.both the product and technical information and the main spec one have the same car on the front but this does not match up to any of the colour samples or the colour configurator on there main internet site which frankly makes all the cars look poor. Quote
wozza Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Not sure could be a colour we dont get here.. And looking at it closer im not even sure if its a blue, Know it looks kinda blue in the book but for some reason it reminds me more of iron grey. In some of the pictures. Quote
ham's c4vts Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 the iron grey looks good too as does black (for 5 mins top lol),but dont get silver looks a bit naff when its all colour coded Quote
syrup Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I'm biased but I don't this is naffhttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39/bobtim/c42.jpg Quote
wozza Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 No it is naff its a saloon :-P And its got the naff wheels and naff front bumper :-P i wasnt a big fan of silver it looks alright on the car but i had a silver car before was bored of them lol. Quote
syrup Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Thats was for colour purposes only!Mine has neat wheels and bumper!http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39/bobtim/100_0458.jpgHow on earth can you say the saloon is naff, for some people the two door is not an option lol! Quote
Mat Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Are Citroen planning on releasing the saloon over here in the UK ? Quote
syrup Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Not as far as I know, if you want a five door it will have to be a hatchback. Quote
wozza Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I dont mind the hatchback i just think the saloon is ugly. And how come you got those wheels? Last time i checked they didnt do those ones for the VTR+ 5 door. Quote
syrup Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 They were the ones that came with the car. According to the Citroen website they are standard on VTR+ hatchback and VTR+ & VTS coupe. Quote
