Fuzzybrush Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Hello all, recently changed my 06 C6 for a 09 C5 2.7 Hdi V6 Exclusive. The main reason for the change was I was really tired of paying way over the odds for the road tax. I now have a slightly smaller car, same engine, same comfort and almost 50% of the tax :) I've had a couple of teething problems withe the C5; Took off the valve cap and removed the top of the valve at the same time!! There goes £122 to replace and two other sensors were leaking air. As I did not want to replace these and there was no way I was going to try and tighten them I used half a can of Holts Emergency Tyre Puncture foam in each wheel. Leaks fixed and sensors are still working OK. I have been driving Citroens for over 30 years, the first was a GSA Club, BX estate, BX 4x4 (worst car ever), Famille Estate, CX, 3 XMs, C6 and now the C5. If I can give advice to anyone I will. Fuzzybrush Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 Thanks ice fruit. I had the C6 for three years and only spent £700 and that was in the last month!! I have always found Citroens to be very reliable and cheap to run Quote
