barnyg Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 See my other reply - car in today for work - no charge for configering AUX2 & all other work done. Car returned fully valeted - much better service than I ever had at Renault (Rubbish).Perhaps I am just lucky!!! Quote
wozza Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 See im the other way round i didnt get fobbed off with excuses from Renault (Rubbish) when i had a problem the guys in the citroen service area like to give me excuses about everything. My cars due in tomorrow I asked for a curtesy car and I said i would wait till one is available for the work to be done they actually completely refused to give me one whenever because apparently it shouldnt take long to replace the rear brakes and do the airbag recall. lab44 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 I think car dealers are like most other services in Britain - pretty crap and shoddy. We all complain but put up with it. Before I bought my C4 i went to a few other dealers to look at cars - half of them couldnt even be bothered to talk to me and one citroen dealer wandered off halfway through talking to me (this was my second visit - obviously didnt think i was gonna buy it). Hence they didnt make a sale that day :D Fortunately found a good dealer in the end (Barretts, Canterbury) - salesman was friendly and helpul, sorted out a test drive, decent discount and had the car within a week. Came off the boat on Wednesday I think and by Friday it was all ready complete with the spoiler fitted. My Auntie has just purchased one from another dealer and they reckon its going to take over a week to "prepare" once they have it! Maybe its coming in parts and they have to assemble it lol Quote
wozza Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I went to ask about a stilo abarth at first this was before i also got my apartment and when i asked for some help and information i got told to stop taking the piss that the abarth was too powerful for me yadda yadda yadda. My mum who was sat down over in the waiting area at the time came over and gave the gy a bit of a mouthful they didnt think i was being serious about the car at the time but i was. They lost a sale for that reason. Friend of mine got a civic type R though and he said the Honda dealers were absolutely amazing he didnt give them the locking nuts with the car or something and he was at work so they sent someone to his home to get them also came and picked up the car from his work and dropped curtesy car off etc. This was just while the car was getting a service. I mean honestly citroen would not do that! Quote
Mike5483 Posted June 2, 2006 Author Posted June 2, 2006 To be honest, i've lost interest in this topic now...........thanks to to those that took the trouble to thank me for the information.......those that didnt and just whinged on about dealer prices.......well you've got what you wanted to know, how you use the information is up to you.....i wish you luck. I already know how to put an MP3 in. If you put MP3 and C4 into Google and you get loads of websites come back. And anyway, you havent given any information in this thread. All you have done is have a go at me for criticising my dealers prices. As for moaning about dealership prices, im sorry I upset you, but you dont seem to see it from the other side. I dont moan about dealership prices if they are doing a proper job. Did I moan when I had to shell out £500 to have my Rover's HG done? No I didnt. Its a proper job that had to be done and I didnt mind paying for the technicians skills. However, give me a computer and the software and I could switch my auxiliary port on myself. As for the above comment about the information you apparently provided in this thread, sorry but I find that quite childish. And to imply that I have somehow used you is crap. Quote
