alik001 Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 What is the difference between AUTO and ECO and what happens when both are no ligthed? Quote
oppositelock Posted March 3, 2003 Posted March 3, 2003 Auto is the standard setting, the CC will maintain constant temperature (well in theory anyway), according to the individual settings. When this light is off, it just means you've manually fiddled with one of the settings (changed fan speed, air flow etc). The Eco button turns off the refrigerated air flow (air con) to reduce the load on the engine, so wouldn't make a lot of difference this time of year (in this country leastways). All the above is my interpretation of the handbook, which could be different to what it actually means of course, the book does lose a bit in translation from the French version of gibberish........ ;) Hope this helps Oppositelock (C5 2.0HDi SX since Jan 03) Quote
cloughie Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Depends which model you have, instructions are not much use. Some models have the air con marked as A/C and some as ECO. If they are marked A/C or snowdrop the light should be on for full auto working with air con, light off indicates air con off. If marked ECO, light on means economy mode, therefore air con off. Normally the light should be off for full auto mode. My handbook is confusing on this issue and the main dealer did not know either. Quote
hertsnminds Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 In other cars (Ford Ka) the ECO mode cuts the chiller in and out as opposed to having it running all the time. Ian Orange 03 Senso (Pluriel) Quote
