jonfish Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Hello. A newbie here although I've been lurking for a while. My C4 is coming up to 12 months from new. I know I don't need to get it serviced until 12500miles or 2 years (HDi) but I've done nearly 11000 and am off on my jollys to Scotland soon. I can't find any reference to the leeway on the 12500miles before I break the warranty conditions. Is it 12501 and you've had it anyone know ? Thanks and all the best. Quote
wozza Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 The 12500 miles is a rough indication you can go over a bit usually. Just preferable to be done before or just after it but it should not affect your warranty unless its getting to stupid figures you know 3000 miles over kinda thing. Quote
wozza Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Just book it for as soon as you get back. I mean its booked before the 12,000 mark lol just might be you went over between that time. Quote
karmthims Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Answer is that if you are a low mileage user, it has to be done within 30 days of the date registered. If you are doing the servicing on the mileage scale as you are, you have to have the car serviced within 750 miles of the due service. So as long as you dont go over 13,250 you are ok if you exceed this you invalidate your warranty. The comment above about the car being booked in is not correct. It is when the car is in the workshop, technician working on it. If it was the other way you could have a courier vehicle booked in and in the week that it is booked it could have done another 3,000 miles by the time it comes in. Hope this helps, but if you want to double check then ring Citroen UK on 0870 606 9000 which is the main number they will tell you exactly, but I do think I am correct. Quote
jonfish Posted June 15, 2006 Author Posted June 15, 2006 Thanks for that. I was convinced there would be some kind of mileage +/- limit somewhere because I remember Ford quoted them for my old focus - in the service book I think. Quote
