daveash Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 just noticed that under both front seats of my C4 ( 2.0 HDI VTR+ ) it appears to have all the connections and gubbins for the lane alert system!! not trying to be a cheapskate but does anybody ( KFK!!! ) know whether this can be enabled? or if some other equipment is required.Basically i'm thinking of a software fix. hertsnminds Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 You might have the connections not sure you will have the things that make the seat vibrate or the sensors around the front bumper installed. There is a video herehttp://www.citroen.com/CWW/fr-FR/TECHNOLOG...Y/AFIL/AFIL.htmthat shows you how it works. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
incubus Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 A Vibrating seat ehhhh..... I might get 1 for the Missus.... Quote
dave&trace Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 there are 6 inforred cameras under the front end [so have a look] my wifes asked our dealer for extra vibration!!! but i don`t think citroen dealers have a sense of humour  Quote
daveash Posted June 8, 2006 Author Posted June 8, 2006 Thanks for the feedback guys, think i will leave well alone with this one!!! vibrating seats might not be the best option for staying alert lol Quote
billynibbles Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I have actually got the lane wander alert system, but to be honest, unless it's to show off the gadgetry, it's left turned off. For one thing, those large 'move over' arrows trigger it off too, as does driving from shade into light on a bright day on a lightish surface like concrete (it does honest!). I'm not sure if a system that might instill a sense of 'OK, I'm over-tired but the car will wake me up' is so praiseworthy anyway. Quote
