pork_pie Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 "Oh, and my C3 needs a second EGR valve. And Citroen have decided to replace my dash display to get the oil guage working" Remember Ben about my EGR? It took 5 weeks to arrive only to find out that it was not the cause of the problem even after umpteen visits? Insist on having a morning with a senior technician and go on a road test with him armed with the ECU laptop. There he can suss out any problems whilst you are driving. Quote
mooseshaver Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 i wonder how long till I have a working citroen? I've never had a working one before. Quote
pork_pie Posted May 18, 2003 Author Posted May 18, 2003 Look, insist on a morning with a senior technician otherwise you may wait for 6 unecessary weeks then find out the EGR was not the problem......... which is what happened to me. To the answer to your question, it took me 11 weeks to get it sorted. Pathetic. Quote
mooseshaver Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 4 weeks and still not egr valve or display dash. Citroen won't get back to me, Citroen Finance ignore my letters. Moaned to a French guy about waiting 7 months for a fault to be fixed and he said "Ofcourse, you bought a french car in england". Not sure what he meant by that but can take a guess. Quote

If it arrives next week, then you are lucky. Did you insist on having a techician for a morning from another franchise in Cumbria? Something is being poorly diagnosed here because if you are suffering loss of power...... why are you still experieicing this. I was diagnosed as having a faulty EGR without the technician even setting foot in the car!!!!!! Citroen Finance won't do anytthing. Ring Citroen UK and ask for Gavin Hil from customer services and ask for a case number. Do you want trading standards number in Slough that deals with complaints at Citroen UK? The Citroen is a good car. Okay its not assembled as well as say Honda, Toyota etc but the biggest problem that blights these cars is the terrible workmanship and the poor parts distribution. Good luck Moose, hope your anguish ends soon. Quote
