I have been using my trip computer with trip 1 reset at every fill up and trip 2 as information since new.

I noticed today as the car reached 8,900 miles on the odometer that trip 2 had stopped clocking up the miles at 6,215.

Is there a limit on the trip computers and if so why is it 6,215 (not a number I saw mentioned in the Da Vinci Code)?

Which would indicate the car calculates in metric and converts. Shame they didn't allow the trip computer to have another digit so you can reset after each service (12,500 miles) for the diesel.

That would take it to 99,999km or just over 62,000 miles.

Following the above logic would mean the speedo can't show more than 620mph (999km/h) so not much point in getting all that tuning done that other postings mention :D

I think i'm right in saying the 3rd leftmost character only has the 1 segment (not that i've ever gone fast enough to see ;) ), so cant even show a 2 ! I challenge someone to prove me wrong (but accept no responsibilty for any court hearing that may follow)

Of course, this did come off a french website, so is probably only 137mph. However, maybe the display can show a 2 as 3rd leftmost char.

If it can show a 2, the next challenge is a 3 :D
