Guest neilmac82 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hi can any one help? I recently purchased a Citroen C4 from an independent dealer and after a day had a fault for a brake light switch even though the fault was stating faulty gearbox this was diagnosed by the citroen dealership. This was then fixed and now an issue for the same issue keeps arising and now stated speed control faulty. Does anyone have any idea what this could be as lost all faith. I am trying to return the vehicle with no effect, but I would like to find out if there is a way to get all the error codes the vehicle has ever had along with the dates, and also the dates the faults were cleared. Is this at all possible? Thanks, Quote
seefive Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Hello I've had this "speed control fault" (meaning cruise control not working) a couple of times recently on my C5. Both times an engine restart has cleared it, and both occurrences were when the battery was low ( I think I may need a new battery soon). So it could be your battery to blame. I don't believe cleared faults can be retrieved - otherwise the average Citroen would contain thousands ... Quote
qman3428 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Had a similar problem on a C5, I ignored it and eventually the gearbox would only select 3rd. It was a faulty fuse box in the engine bay. Citroen are aware of this issue and changed it under warranty. Quote
