barnyg Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Can any of you wise people recommend a decent alloy cleaner. I've used Wonder Wheels in the past but have been told this is too agressive. Also what's the best to protect them. Quote
Stuey Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 I use Wonder Wheels on mine, its only really noticably harsh on polished wheels chromes etc but on standard wheels it should be fine... Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 To be honest i use Kitchen paper towels! They work very well too! Gets all the much off, and there is no worry that the muck will just get moved because you can just use another piece!! Quote
Stuey Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 ive tried the pressure washer but it just doesnt get the really baked on dust off... Quote
sammys hdi vts Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Nothing beats elbow grease! Try an old toothbrush and some decent car wash shampoo, got to let the dirt soak for a bit, dry wetting them with a big sponge then scrub, scrub, scrub! I had sureguard sprayed on my car when new and the foam alloy wheel cleaner works a treat, speak to your dealer they might have some. Quote
Stuey Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Nothing beats elbow grease! Try an old toothbrush and some decent car wash shampoo, your MAD!!! I was parked behind a car identical to yours at lunch time, first time I have seen 2 C4's together on the road!! Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 I parked next to another c4 a few months ago.Would post the pic, but dont know how! :D Quote
Stuey Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 I didnt think about taking a pic...I take pictures all day and cant be arsed to do more on me lunch... Quote
wozza Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Went to the retail park the other day parked up in a place away from people soon as i came back there were 2 other C4's next to me thought it was really funny. Literally parked side by side probably thought oh another C4! Quote
barnyg Posted June 16, 2006 Author Posted June 16, 2006 Parked at the Docs yesterday next to a C4 Coupe (mine's a 5 door). When i came back noticed the licence numbers were only 2 different!!!! Quote
wozza Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 I actually got flashed by a black VTS the other day gave him a flash back and got a thumbs up. Guessing he liked my choice of car. Quote
Stuey Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I have noticed that too, I see a black 5 door most mornings on the way to work and we always wave to each other...its like a little club :D Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 There is a old guy with a 5-door about a mile down, and he NEVER drives the thing! It is always there. Quote
sammys hdi vts Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I'm starting to see a few more round here (croydon, south london) but havent seen another silver vts yet, was up in the lake district over easter and saw LOADS around there. Think northerns might have better eye for design! - or a bargain! Quote
Welshguy Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 I have noticed that I take an interest in all other C4s that I see, and vice versa - it is like a small club! :D Quote
wozza Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Should get some small flyers or something made up so if we see another one we can get them over here. Quote
barnyg Posted June 19, 2006 Author Posted June 19, 2006 When I had my Megane i was a member of the Megane owners club. You could get stickers for the window showing the web site at a nominal charge. Quote
