Ciaran2903 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I asked the guy at the parts dept.(Tundbridge Wells), he didnt have a clue so went and talked to the head tech, came back and said that it would cause more problems than good!! Should i go to another dealer?(Crawley)Help please! Thanks Quote
Mat Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 My dealer sold me an AUX socket cable, part no 9706ag, for £21. The dealer does have to enable the socket using their laptop, which is what they are going to do for me tomorrow. Others on here (Wozza and Mike to name two) have got their 9706ag working, afaik with no problems. Quote
barnyg Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I bought the part at at Pug dealer & the Citroen dealer said he had never done it before but would give it a go & enabled the port free of charge. Installed the cable myself. Goes to prove some dealers are excellent & some are .... Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted June 20, 2006 Author Posted June 20, 2006 Cheers, i will ask the crawley guys, there are not to be recommended but maybe they can prove me wrong! Thanks again. Quote
Mat Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 If you tell them you need a '9706ag MP3 audio harness' (listed on the Citroen parts database for £21) and that you will need the AUX2 socket enabled on your RD4 radio by their Proxia laptop, they can't tell you they dont know what you want or how to do it, cos you've just told them. wozza Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I went with the aftermarket approach bought an Alpine 9855R headunit not the 9706ag way. If someone writes me a small guide with pictures etc of the 9706ag though I will sticky it up since I now have my mod privileges. And i just think many people will find it useful. Quote
