Mat Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Following from an earlier thread, i had a look at my spare. Spare tyre: 195/65R15Wheels: 205/55R16 So, my wheels are 16 inch diameter, but my spare is 15 inches. Does this not mean that if i get a puncture and swap that tyre for my spare, that the opposite wheel will not touch the floor? Quote
wozza Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 No mate, Tyre sizes mean the rolling radius is pretty much identical. Lower profile on the 16 than on the 15 thus much higher sidewall you can get 19's on there with only a marginal different in rolling radius but it would not be a comfortable ride. Quote
Stuey Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 the suspention should compensate and balance things out. If you do get a puncture get it fixed as soon as possible...pretty simple stuff Quote
