C4VTS Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Just a quick survey, as thought it would be useful to give a visual representation of any problems owners have with the C4. French cars do not have a good reputation, but has the C4 broken this trend? Make Sure You Vote Before you View The Results ! I forgot to add votes if your C4 has never had any faults at all, or if your C4 is too new to tell yet. So please let us know. Quote
wozza Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 French cars dont have a good reputation but in 3 years of owning my clio i passed more bmw's on the hard shoulder than anything else. And mine didnt break down once. Its like any car dont take care of them and it will break down. Take care of it should never really have any problems obviously parts do die occasionally but thats not something you can help. But so far in 8 months been alright bit early to tell though to be honest. But anyways would be nothing different to my other cars a pug 405 and a cinquecento. the cinquecento is a pain in the arse any niggly thing that can go wrong with it does go wrong. But its amazingly good fun. Quote
Welshguy Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 I voted "one minor fault affecting driveability", as my engine mount problem (which has resurfaced after Citroen fixed it 2 months ago) causes me to drive ultra "nicely" (i.e. every gearchange is treated with too much respect!) The good news is that I found a thread on the Planet Citroen site from a guy with a 1.4VT Coupe who had the exact same problems as me (engine mount and tappets) and apparently the engine mount problem is known about, with Citroen having developed a stronger & more robust mount to replace the knackered one(s). Hopefully we'll see on the 10th when the car goes in! Quote
Mat Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 (edited) Tomorrow is my car's 1st Birthday, co Citroen Assist runs out. I hope it doesnt break down now (havent sorted out RAC yet) I should have ticked minor faults not affecting drivability too, as well as never broken down. Edited June 29, 2006 by Mat Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Touch wood, only ever minor faults not affecting drive ability. Quote
