wozza Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Yup thats Citroens for you. Shame really cause the C4 is such a good car just not in the same league when it comes to performance or handling though as the ST. But no matter how hard I try I just can not find the ST a good looking car. All the cheap tacky bits of chrome everywhere ruin it for me. Plus the general shape. As a drivers car though absolutely brilliant. But will have to see what renaults new megane 250 is gonna be like. Dont like the way that looks either but the RS Megane is a great car as well. And Monaro's will likely keep a good price great cars and the tuning potential for them is crazy! You can easily 500bhp from that engine for a small amount of money. And give in you know you want a Mustang lol. I know I do would rather the vette but its a little more to buy and a lot more to insure and run lol. So why im looking at older stangs as my starting point into american motors. I would actually love a classic muscle car though nice 69 Camaro, 68 Charger, GTO etc. Just be a bit more difficult to keep one of those over here but so damn cool. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 He he, when we (my family) move back to Canada (In two years), I will be sad to say goodbye to my C4, but VERY happy to say hello to MR. MUSTANG!! Quote
wozza Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Where about in canada you from? I spent just over 2 months in arnprior little place about an hour outside of ottawa well my friends live there but we spent a week an a bit on the road which was good fun. Plan to go over to New York at some point next year hopefully got some friends who lived there who came over here last year so been asking me when i can go out so gonna try arrange to spend a month or so just touring in car(s) will be a great way to see a bit more of the country. Canadian driving law is wierd though if your a visitor you can drive on your license for 1 year while there if you move there its like 3 months or something before your british license is not valid to be driven on. PLus they have that cant drive at night thing for new drivers. Just stupid i find. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 My dad is from British Columbia and my mum is from Alexandria (near Quebec). We are going to move to Calgary. After i finish school before going to uni, hence i am studying the I.B in September. Can't wait!! Everything over there is really cheap! A Ford Mustang GT from $30,000 (Canadian) is equal to about £14,800 Not bad eh?!? Quote
Stuey Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 american car prices are crazy...a 6 litre v8 muscle car for the same price as a Focus...although the earnings arent as much as here so it balances out... Quote
wozza Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Some things are cheap some arent. Just depends and the problem with a lot of cars in canada is rust! Due to the roads being salted so much in the winter it likes to eat away at the metal not a good thing. And unfortunately petrol is still quite expensive out there. Does my head in though when i was in shops id think oh thats cheap get to till forgot about the tax so it didnt work out cheaper at all. Quote
