wozza Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Just been looking around at various sites for things for the C4 cause i have been bored shitless and can not be bothered moving and packing any more of my thing up due to me moving in a couple days and to be without internet for a couple weeks. But anyways found a few things for those of us on here that might be so inclined to start modding. Engine mods http://www.dp-engineering.nl/ Bodymods. http://www.musketier.de/html/c4.html http://www.carequipment.be/gallery.asp?mer...itroen&model=C4 (load of pictures on here of various bits and pieces.) http://www.stxstyling.co.uk/StxStyling/Car.../Citroen-C4.php (site full of the most god awful bodykits around) http://www.clemens-motorsport.de/c_4.htm Suspension http://www.ultimate-suspension.com/ultimat...TROEN&modele=C4 If you know of anymore add them and if you think it would be useful i can always sticky the topic and anything else you guys would like just tell me and i can sticky it for you if you think others will find it useful. sammys hdi vts Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Ebuyer, blue cold cathode Wozza I have ordered some of these for my computer and another set to play with, I'm tempted to put them in the footwells as they run off a 12v supply, so a car battery! Read the reviews, several guys have done it, got to check they dont make it look cheap but they come with a switch so you can switch them off when you pick up the grandparents! Plus they are only £3 for a pair of 12" tubes, bargin! Quote
welshys90 Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 muskiteer and clemans have beautiful body kits, as for the blue cold cathode lites thats a nice idea but u need to check the law on them now cos apparantly u can get done for it theres regulations and rules on them even under carrige ones pretty crap but hey ho its better to check than get slapped with a £100 fine ye know wot im sayin and the awful lookin body kits look really neddy and full of chicken wire! and its all german sites :S i hate that! lol Quote
welshys90 Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 http://www.tuningshop.co.uk/acatalog/Citroen_C4.html http://www.modifydirect.co.uk/ a couple more Quote
sammys hdi vts Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 im still not convinced with any of the body kits, they lose the flowing lines of the car. Ill ask a couple of my copper mates if they know the law on the interior footwell lights Quote
wozza Posted August 12, 2006 Author Posted August 12, 2006 Under carriage neons etc have always been illegal unless you have red at the back, yellow at sides white at front. so would look a bit stupid. However interior lights as long as they dont obstruct anything are legal if they give impaired vision etc such as ones on windows and that then they are illegal as far as i remember. And not all the bodykits are bad this one you can tell is different but its just fattened up the standard splitter really why i like it, http://www.musketier.de/assets/images/C4-11.jpg Quote
welshys90 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 yeh i agree with wozza that body kit is very very sexy! i also like the back of it, the exhaust pipes are done well! Quote
Mike5483 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Why does that red look so deep??? Mine dont look like that!!! Must be a trick camera filter or something. Quote
Stuey Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 its a show car so it will have been resprayed. Quote
ham's c4vts Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 it will be just down to lighting and its indoor Quote
Stuey Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 either or  it does have some really thick clearcoat on it...and probably a couple of coats of high gloss wax... Quote
barns Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Have not seen a kit that looks right yet, kits seem to look better on the eye when they compliment the lines/angles of the car, the lights and the front end of the c4 are rounded without any real angle, maybe an alteration to the headlights? would make more of a focus point for the body kit to take the lines from same shape but with an mid point angle rather than curve. Quote
bill03 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Why does that red look so deep??? Maybe he details it. Here. Quote
wozza Posted August 14, 2006 Author Posted August 14, 2006 Most of the kits on the C4 do look awful or like that have just been stuck on. very hard finding a kit which suits the lines of the car. Althoguh sbarro did a good job. http://clcalvet.club.fr/sbarro/C4RPUR/profil.jpg Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 That is a very nice kit, i would happily drive that car! Really like the colour aswell! One MINOR niggle would be the front wheel arch though, just dont like the "pointy" look that appears at the bottom of the front spoiler. Quote
sammys hdi vts Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Now I like that kit wozza! It looks as if it was designed to fit the car rather than added on afterwards. Only niggles I can see are the lack of rear spoiler, schoolboy errror, the normal vts spoiler would suffice. I would also like to see the side rub strips either the smae colour or chromed or somethin! Quote
welshys90 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 lol i can see every C4 owner with a body kit like the blue C4 picture wozza posted because i think it makes the car look meaty but ye it does need a spoiler but hey its not the end of the world! Quote
wozza Posted August 15, 2006 Author Posted August 15, 2006 The rear spoiler could not be added to that car for a certain reason.... http://clcalvet.club.fr/sbarro/C4RPUR/avant.jpg http://clcalvet.club.fr/sbarro/C4RPUR/arriere.jpg Wasnt built to be a bodykit was one of the sbarro cars they have done a few all of them are a bit crazy. But non of them for sale. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 The rear spoiler could not be added to that car for a certain reason.... :D :) Quote
welshys90 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 haha where theres a will theres a way and sammi WILL have a spoiler on that car before the end of the year! lol Quote
galewis Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Most of the kits on the C4 do look awful or like that have just been stuck on. very hard finding a kit which suits the lines of the car. Althoguh sbarro did a good job. http://clcalvet.club.fr/sbarro/C4RPUR/profil.jpg  I gotta get me some of those alloy wheels.... Anyone know what they are? Are they 18s? Quote
wozza Posted August 17, 2006 Author Posted August 17, 2006 There OZ Palladio's in a 19" wheel tyres are 235/35 ZR 19 not sure if its been lowere or if the arches have been made to fit the wheels better though gonna go with both though details dont list any suspension mods as far as i can see. Quote

Those alloys do look great!!! not sure they would fit a standard C4 though Quote
wozza Posted August 17, 2006 Author Posted August 17, 2006 Would go on easily. 19's with those tyres rpobably arent much different to the 17's with the 50 profiles. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 tempting, but still i could not justify the expense! and would you die every time you went over a pot hole!? Quote
