dave&trace Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 met with wozza at french car show in june. wondered if anyother C4 owners would like to get together for a meet one weekend, and put faces to names  Quote
hertsnminds Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 I would be up for a meet, I know you can get more tips and info from other drivers in about 5 mins of chatting than after years of trying to work things out by yourself. It is also a good excuse to get out for a drive and meet like minded folks. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
dave&trace Posted July 9, 2006 Author Posted July 9, 2006 we live in yorkshire the meet needs to be central and when everyone can get together post your dates and ideaswe had a meet in the lakedisrict last year went for pub lunch, a drive and a walk round windermere was good day out.also done a meet at blackpool and driven down the front ;) Quote
ham's c4vts Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 i live in derby but dont really matter to me as long as its not like this week end lol Quote
Stuey Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 count me in. I'm in nottingham/derby so I am very central... there is a really cool quad biking and mud buggying place just outside nottingham which would make for a good location. There is a massive car park so it would be good for group photos etc... Quote
ham's c4vts Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 and go quad biking? theres a place near center parks nottingham, amens corner outdoor karting and a pub close by and sherwood forest just up road! Quote
Ben Yorkshire Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Hi, I'm in Leeds, count me in too .(VTS Coupe Black) Quote
Stuey Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 and go quad biking? theres a place near center parks nottingham, amens corner outdoor karting and a pub close by and sherwood forest just up road! that could be a plan too...I think Nottingham is the best place as it is very central. What do we think then. Quad bikes and mud buggies or karting and pub/hotel for the night so we can have a dizzy waters?? Quote
Welshguy Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I'm in Wales sorry so can't be bothered with the travelling - I wish you all good times however! Quote
Stuey Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 slacker!! it will only be a few hour drive ;) if you said Edinburgh or something like that I could understand... Quote
wozza Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Id be up for coming if carts are made for larger people lol. And wales is not that far me and a couple mates did Manchester to Bangor in less than an hour. Most of the time my speedo was reading 3 digits. back when i had my clio though was topped out in 5th most of the way chasing my mate. Quote
wozza Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 yeah good times me not knowing where im going my mate flying off into the distance doing 120 and me sat there going err ***oops*** im gonna have to try and catch up...i did. Not done any long driving at those speeds since. Too worried about being pulled <_< Quote

wozza Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Glad to be back moving house is hell especially since i moved the computer / tv / stereo etc all out first cause it was easiest i left myself nothign to do for 4 days. Except pack it was so incredibly boring. Especially since most of my friends were busy or in another country as well <_< But hey back got my computer got internet and tv etc etc. Now all i need to do is start moving half this crap thats taking up my living room etc into the attic. Too lazy to do anything today had enough. But with a meet thing now might be a good time to try and actually start a proper owners club up since we have recently got a lot more members and the boards getting much busier i used to come on and have 3 topics to look at. I came on and had 2 pages on the C4 section alone to read through. Might be nice now to get an owners club set up for those of us that attend shows etc be nice to belong to a club. Quote
dave&trace Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 don`t do computers but can organise meets etc would be good to have C4 owners club <_< Quote
hertsnminds Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 What do we fancy as a website name for the owners club? citroenc4.org.ukc4owners.co.ukc4owners.comc4owners.org.uk All of which are available at the moment IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
C4VTS Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I would be interested in the meet, but preferably next month or later this month. Am near the Oxfordshire/Northants/Warwickshire borders. Quote
wozza Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 hertsnminds Make a poll and see what people think what wins i can not put some money towards sorting one out since i have a fair bit more cash now since moving. And meet im up for anytime from now really. Quote
