C4VTS Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 what is the connection behind the front ash tray for? is it the citroen garage diagnositcs plug in point maybe? Yes, it is the OBD interface for the dealer to plug in diagnostic computer. My Audi A4 had the same interface, and I think most cars have OBD interface these days. I had a program called VAG-com which use to do lots of tricks on the Audi.Maybe we will see some unnofficial software for the C4 ? Quote

Stuey Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 that is cool!! might cause some warranty issue I feel welcome aboard Builder BTW <_< Quote
wozza Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Welcome to the forums mate hope you continue to enjoy your car. And all answers have been given. As said just a diagnositic port can also be used to enable certain functions of the car and also allow remapping of the ecu for a little tuning. Quote

I reprogrammed the Alarm system to not 'beep' when you lock the doors, and my Audi dealer always told me they could not do that! It took me about 30 seconds to re-program after doing my research on the internet. Main use is for reading fault codes, and they are all listed on the internet, as well as what to look for if you get a fault code. Quote
Builder Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 Many thanks guys for the input. I'll probably have a few more q's later on for you technos as time goes on. Awsome quote Stuey  my kids p***ed themselves laughing B) . Quote
Mat Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Awsome quote Stuey B) my kids p***ed themselves laughing :D . What did he say? Quote
bigrob Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I think he probably means his signature (the chavs thing) - made me laugh too. Quote
Stuey Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I frigin hate chavs!! normally I would cover myself by saying sorry if it offends etc but if you are a chav you dont deserve a C4....so there. I had an awesome conversation with a chav, he couldnt be a day over 12 bear in mind. He was telling me all about how he was going to nick the motor. It went something a bit like this, He was going to smash the window but I told him that that would set the alarm off, then he started talking about drilling the lock, I pointed out the fact that it doesnt have visable locks....after about 5 minutes of him talking a load of old boll*cks I pointed out that in the off chance that he did get it off the drive I would activate the tracker and the fuzz would be on him in no time at all....I then drove off laughing  Quote
wozza Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Love taking the piss out of chavs. Personally i think we should put them all on an island in the middle of no where give them random weapons and let nature take its course they will have died out in a few weeks and the rest of us can get on with our lives without the scum who add nothing to society and just drain resources. jryan Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Ha Ha I totally agree!!!! Up here in Scotland we call them NEDS! It stand for (for those who dont know) None Educated DelinquantS Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 "I would activate the tracker and the fuzz would be on him in no time at all" Don't forget that when you get the car back it will be registered as stolen recovered and seriously affect your resale. Thats why I don't bother on my ///M Roadster, if someone nicks it, they are welcome to it, I'll just get another one. Quote
Stuey Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 it doesnt have a tracker but it made the kid shut up  I am not going to pay £300+ for a tracker for it not to bring my insurance down Quote
