I had a similar 'tuning box' on my old Audi A4.

The device fitted in the fuel pump wiring loom. Easy to fit . Just unplug a connector and insert the 'tuning box'.

After a few months my turbo blew, which cost £2,000 to put right. (New turbo, new CAT, and new exhaust)

It certainly did boost the power, but it may have been responsible for death of my turbo.

I did not re-fit the 'tuning box' after the expensive repair.

My Audi had a high mileage which may have contributed to the demise of the turbo.

Something to think about before you buy this kind of performance mod.

Should not have affected the turbo too much unless it adjusted the pressure it was operating at. But even then it shouldnt have done much to harm it to be honest.

Turbo's are just one of those things that break at high mileage if the cars not been looked after properly allowed to heat up and cool down etc. Turbo cars should generally not just be switched off i mean the things do spin at 80,000 - 150,000 RPM so should be given a few minutes of idle time to cool down before just switching engine off and same to heat up a lil bit.

And on the VAG TDI engines are generally bullet proof and can be mapped to silly figures and remain very reliable. Have a friend who have same engines in various cars in various states of tune all of them have been trouble free.

thanks. think i'll get one but i'm a bit worried that if it did go tits up, then citroen would know what i've done. Are they detectable once removed?
