jryan Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Hello, A while ago i posted a reply to a thread about service times. My car was showing -1500 etc when i first started the car. The dealership did service the car and stamped the book. I had it back today and they reset it but it keeps reverting to a service needed state. Anyone any idea what is causing this??? Its going in again on Monday but it is gettin on my tits!!!!!!! Quote
wozza Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Think you need a software update. That was supposed to cure that problem one of them was anyway if i remember correctly. Quote
jryan Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 Cool, I think that is the case but the plot thickens! Whilst in the garage yesterday (they had the car from 8.30am until 4pm!) i had asked them to check the brakes as they were squeeling a hell of a lot. They are replacing under warrenty, all discs, pads and callipers! sounds strange to me! they also did a service on the car which used cars said they did! but thats another story! Quote
wozza Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Brake replacement is something a fair few of us have had so thats normal. Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Mine has had new discs and pads, no idea whether it was under warranty. They still squeal though Quote
C4VTS Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Mine has had new discs and pads, no idea whether it was under warranty. They still squeal though Checked mine when i bought it, and the nearside rear pads have been replaced as they are Bosch branded, and I think all the others said Peugeot? I don't have any problems with brake squeal in my Citroen UK ex-demo VTS. Quote
wozza Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Mine has had new discs and pads, no idea whether it was under warranty. They still squeal though Get it back to the dealers then. The new calipers look rather different to the old ones i had on so probably need the new discs calipers and pads putting on. Mine barely squeal at all i understand some squeal will always be present with disc brakes but these are very quite and only very rarely now. Quote
