C4VTS Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Do they not do a C4 with a built in camera ? :) :) I believe even phones have them in now B) Hint Hint :D Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I think Citroen missed a trick not having the boot open using the key fob. Everytime i close the window with the key fob, and open the boot manually, everyone is amazed that it is not electronic! Quote
xavtia Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 and open the boot manually got to agree miss that feature from the Xsara but wonder how many people put the keys down in the boot and close it before realising  shame they dont put a 12v socket in the boot Quote

Not sure what you mean? :) Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 There isn't a button on the fob to release the boot, well, there isn't on mine. Quote
C4VTS Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 There isn't a button on the fob to release the boot, well, there isn't on mine. When I open the car, the boot also opens for me. I thought that was normal? Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Unlocks or opens? Ciaran's point is there is no dedicated button to release the boot lid. Although saying that most cars which have the boot release on the fob are saloons, not coupes or hatchbacks. Quote
Mat Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 ...Everytime i close the window with the key fob... How do you close the window? Quote

Although saying that most cars which have the boot release on the fob are saloons, not coupes or hatchbacks. Ahhh...I see what you mean now :) It's not really much effort to lift the hatch. The most annoying thing for me about the C4 is the fuel filler door is not lockable, and you have to use the key in the actual cap. It's not very safe when filling up, to have your car key left on the pump or on the car, where anyone could just steal the keys from under your nose. I mean they make all that effort with the security pack, and deadlocks etc, but you have to leave your keys wide open to anyone. Quote
C4VTS Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 ...Everytime i close the window with the key fob... How do you close the window? Hold the lock button on the key down for about 3 or 4 seconds. Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 ...Everytime i close the window with the key fob... How do you close the window? Press and hold the lock button, windows will auto close. I hold onto the fuel filler cap when filling up, never bothered me. Quote
welshys90 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 lol i didnt know that trick, my key fob has a middle button that turns the full beams on and off... well every light in the car its quite useful if u think theres someone comin round the side of your house, hit the button and they get quite some fright... as for the fuel door, it locks its self im sure and again while movin, but i dont know anyone that can steal fuel from a movin car Quote
C4VTS Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I hold onto the fuel filler cap when filling up, never bothered me. Try that with a diesel  You end up with hands covered and smelling of diesel, or at least I did last time I tried that. Quote
wozza Posted September 11, 2006 Author Posted September 11, 2006 Fuel cap does not lock 3 times i have come out to my car recently to find it open making sure i catch the little ***oops*** thats doing it over the next few days opened all my cars caps no one elses in the street though i will get the little sod and then hes gonna get a good bollocking. Or i may just have to stick a video in the recorder and tape him we have a cctv camera up on the front of the house os might as well see about it. Quote
welshys90 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 a good bollockin sounds better, either that or just run him over, ye ok its a jail sentence and 6 points on your liscense but i can assure you he will stop it  Quote

hertsnminds Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Or i may just have to stick a video in the recorder and tape him we have a cctv camera up on the front of the house Or just rewire a high tension lead to make the filler cap live over night. The little oik will be the chargrilled garden gnome you find the next morning. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
