Are you sure that your car is not a "Cut 'n' Shut"??? Cause my boot is VERY big!

A guy from down the lane bought a Vauxhall Astra instead of a C4 because he had to travel to get it serviced! jeeese, what a poor excuse! -_- And he was amazed at the size of the boot!

is the coupe's boot bigger than the 5 door?? just a randon thought...mine is parked next to a 5 door at the moment outside work and the tail looks a lot bigger on mine...

A little looky on the citroen website it actually shows that the hatchback has a slightly larger boot! :

Seats up (hatchback): 320 litres VDA

Seats up (coupe): 314 litres VDA

The max access is the same on both:

Width: 1034 mm

Height: 791 mm

All the reviews i have read have complemented the boot space, so i think that fuelgague's expectations are WAY to high!! -_-

when did Fuelgauge get "remover of bodies" title?? that surely should be mine?? does that mean I will have to come up with a new occupation?? Maybe Head puppy kicker??

I just mentioned it in the 3doors safer threead and now it seems to have stuck lol.

Personally i think your new occupation needs to revolve around the sterilization of chavs...Just imagine how much fun that would be or not.

Are you hiring?? B) I have some old mircoscopes that may aid the discovery process! :D

Oh,and for "fuelgauge":

Loads to offer! That’s my verdict on Citroen’s C4, which has been proving its worth as a bag-carrier supreme during its stint on our long-term fleet.

Whether it's swallowing bags on airport runs or transporting rubbish to the local tip, the Citroen has dealt with whatever has been thrown at it with ease. The 320-litre boot expands to 1,270 litres with the rear seats folded - which is more than adequate for my load-lugging needs. There are no concerns in terms of space inside, either; in both the front and rear I have found leg and headroom to be more than adequate.

From the "Auto Express" long term test fleet!

I think that you may be alone in your opinion! -_-

Thanks chums for your comments, what a laugh. The fact is my last car was a C5 hdi hatch and the boot was good for bodies therefore I miss having this facility. I must now look for another occupation! As a grumpy old man I will have to find somthing else to moan about!! -_- :D B) :D

I traded a Xsara in for my C4 and found the boot to be smaller than what I am used to but when i tried to put the C4 in the car port at my mums was extremely surprised to find the door wouldn't close the handle kept hitting the bumper. -_- We've had BXs and Xsaras in there with no problems in the past but still wouldnt give the C4 up just keep having to take the handle off when i visit which is fun :D

Compared to the C5 the boot is likely to be a fair bit smaller mate. Differet class of car. But well what the C4 lacks in space it makes up for in style -_-

:D the yard wall was removed and a garage door put on so that the car could be parked in the yard but its a bit small, with the C4 being a few inches longer than previous cars the door would not close due to the handle being at bumper height, removing the handle allows the door to close keeping the car safe from the overnight vandals
