Picasso - Strong Smell Of Petrol

We have a Picasso which produces a strong smell of petrol(stronger on passenger side) when it is

 

a)below half a tank(3 bars)

b)when you accelerate and then slow down

 

The garage can't seem to find any thing wrong.

 

Has anybody out there had this problem?

I also have a picasso, on a 51 plate, which has a strong smell of petrol mainly on the drivers side. I've had it back to the garage several times, but nothing has been found. I've only had the car a couple of weeks and am already thinking of taking it back and having a refund! Unless anyone can come up with a solution.
